Requirements:-

Required Professional Experience

• At least five (5) years of senior-level management experience working on donor-funded projects in managing and implementing education programs, particularly in conflict and/or crisis-affected settings.
• Previous Deputy Chief of Party, or senior management experience in the following specializations: education, education in emergencies, and/or related field in Ethiopia.
• Experience working in fragile contexts leading emergency responses and programs.
• Demonstrated strong understanding of USAID’s emergency response approaches and education programming.
• Proven experience in administrative and financial management for large projects and significant knowledge of USAID compliance, rules and regulations.
• Serve as acting COP, whenever required.
• Demonstrated experience with managing diverse staff and providing mentoring and capacity building.
• Demonstrated skills building and maintaining relationships with host governments, donors, other donor-funded projects and stakeholders.
• Proven experience in developing and maintaining strong and effective partnerships; including managing subgrantees.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; excellent demonstrated interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Experience recruiting, developing, and managing staff and teams.
• Track record of strong commitment to sharing knowledge, documenting experiences, supporting creative initiatives, and sharing credit.
• Experience managing required programmatic and financial reporting requirements.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required.
